Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Pamela is an alumna of Howard University where she graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Communications. Her career in Radio spans over 20 years. She has served as Music Director with programming responsibilities, and as an On Air Personality at Inner City’s WBLS-FM, New York. She served as Music Director and Program Director at Howard University Radio WHUR-FM, Washington, DC. She has also served as an Account Executive at then Saunders Broadcasting WITH-AM, Baltimore, Maryland. Pamela is celebrating her 6th year as the Program Director and as an On Air Personality for the Jazz channel “Riff” at WorldSpace Satellite Radio Network.



Tony Carlton



Tony has been in broadcasting since 1965. He started out on a Saturday teenage request show in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before joining WorldSpace, he spent 16 years in program coordination and production with the Westwood One/ CBS Radio Network Group. He comments that, “Broadcasting on Riff, the rhythms and history of jazz is more than great. Having the unique opportunity to enlighten and share the worldwide dimensions of jazz is another way of bringing us all together.”



Natalie Case



This Baltimore native and 15 year broadcast industry veteran is best known for her “velvet charm.” She attended Notre Dame University in Maryland. She has been a member of the Radio One family for 13 years dong mid days. She has experience in both Baltimore on WWIN-FM and Washington, D.C. on WMMJ-FM. She is the newest member to Riff, where you can hear her host the morning drive.





Ron Thompson



Ron’s radio career began in his hometown of New Haven, Connecticut. In 1979, he started working as a newsman at WNHC-AM after attending Southern Connecticut State University. Ron worked for several news organizations as a reporter for WELI, WSFB, National Black Network and American Urban Radio Networks. Ron moved to Washington, D.C. in 1987 where he worked as a substitute newsman and talk show host for WOL-AM. In 1990, he moved to air personality for WMMJ-FM in D.C. He assumed programming responsibilities in 1999 for WOL-AM and WYCB-AM, a gospel station where he currently remains, and on Riff in the afternoons.


Andrea Smith



A Washington, D.C. native, she is currently the music director for “The System” on WorldSpace and XM Satellite radio, as well as doing weekends on Riff. She attended the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. She began her career as a board operator and went on to become the midday personality for Radio One’s WYCB-AM “The Spirit of Today’s Gospel.” You can also hear her on local and national commercials on WKYS, WMML, WOL, and XM satellite radio.
